Andrew Scannell – Managing Director andrew@doverstreetinsurance.com

Andrew is the Founder and Managing Director of Dover Street Insurance Brokers, a leading independent broker in the UK. He has more than two decades of insurance experience, including 15 years with major global insurers Axa and Chubb. Andrew honed his expertise in business development, claims and management, primarily within the Private Client Sector.

In 2016, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey, establishing a specialised Private Client insurance brokerage. Under his leadership, the company has evolved from a start-up into a prominent UK broker, trusted with overseeing the insurance portfolios of High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth families.

Simon Mobey – Executive Director simon@doverstreetinsurance.com

Simon serves as the Executive Director of Dover Street Insurance Brokers and has an impressive career spanning nearly four decades in the UK and Global Personal insurance market.

His extensive experience, primarily in the Private Client sector, includes pivotal roles in renowned global insurance companies. Notably, Simon was a key figure in setting up Chubb’s Masterpiece High Net worth Service in the UK and subsequently led Chubb’s Private Clients business in the UK and Europe for the last 7 years of his 20-year tenure.

Following 3 years as Global Head of Private Clients at Axa XL, Simon was appointed as the Managing Director of Private Clients for Aviva in 2021, before joining Dover Street. He is recognised as one of the leading experts in High Net Worth insurance in the UK and is actively involved in driving the company’s growth and commercial expansion.

Greg Tighe – Operations Director greg@doverstreetinsurance.com

Greg is the Operations Director at Dover Street Insurance Brokers and has nearly two decades’ experience in insurance broking.

He has previously worked for prominent UK and Global Private Client brokers, specialising in High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients. Greg’s focus has centred on Household, Fine Art, Jewellery, and Motor insurance policies, with a proven track record of delivering personalised service tailored to clients’ lifestyles and needs. Greg is responsible for team management, business development, and operations.

Chris Baumann – Sales & Development Director

Chris joined Dover Street in February 2024, bringing with him nearly two decades of experience in Private Client insurance broking. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a trusted adviser to High Net Worth (HNW), Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW), and family office clients.

Over the past decade, Chris has played a pivotal role at a prominent independent insurance broker, where he most recently held the position of Head of Private Clients. In this role, he managed the Personal Lines operation, overseeing a team of over 30 employees. His tenure has been marked by a consistent record of success, including leading and managing award-winning teams.

Chris is recognised for his adept handling of complex client relationships and Introducer partnerships. His expertise not only enhances the capabilities of the executive team at Dover Street but also contributes significantly to the overall growth and success of the business.

With over 30 years of experience in the Commercial Insurance industry, Andy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He has held various positions in Underwriting, Sales, Development, and Broking, which has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Throughout his career, Andy has developed strong relationships in the Insurance company market. He has extensive connections in the Lloyd’s and London markets, enabling him to access leading insurance products and put together comprehensive cover solutions for even the most complex risks.

With Andy’s leadership, Dover Street Insurance Brokers can expect enhanced commercial offerings and strengthened relationships with insurance companies, ultimately providing their clients with the best possible insurance solutions.

CLIENT MANAGEMENT team

Jemma Burton – Client Manager jemma@doverstreetinsurance.com

Jemma boasts over 25 years of experience dealing with Private Clients. She is also a qualified solicitor with an 18-year specialisation in litigation, including serving as Managing Partner of a Central London law firm for seven years Jemma’s expertise lies in Medical Negligence and Insurance Litigation, with a particular focus on Private Clients.

Before joining Dover Street, she held a leadership position at Symmetry Private Clients. She now plays a crucial role in Dover Street’s client management.

Sarah Marin – Client Manager sarah@doverstreetinsurance.com

Sarah brings two decades of insurance broking and underwriting experience, across personal and commercial lines.

Her career includes working for a broker, managing High Net Worth clients, and a 7-year stint with a large Lloyd’s of London syndicate as an underwriter in the bespoke motor team. Sarah then assumed responsibilities for broker relations and the development of the classic car business.

Prior to her current role, Sarah’s last position was in the Motor Team of a specialist MGA, focusing on Classic and Prestige Motor, including Private Clients.

Debbie has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, primarily within the Lloyd’s of London Market.

Her extensive background encompasses various roles and responsibilities, which have equipped her with a wealth of operational and client service expertise.

Ruth Collinson – Client Manager  ruth@doverstreetinsurance.com

Ruth has enjoyed more than two decades of Private Client experience, in both underwriting and broking.

Her career commenced in the HNW Motor team at Chubb before transitioning to one of the UK’s largest brokers, where she managed High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients and their families. Ruth’s comprehensive experience in the Private Client sector contributes to the company’s commitment to excellence.
